"The film analyses the characteristics of material flow in production, from arrival of raw materials to packaging and dispatch of finished product. It is pointed out that materials are either in one of two basic positions: in movement or stationary. For each position two subcategories are established. In movement: (I) on inplant transport, (2) in the process of being manually handled (charging and discharging conveyors etc.). Stationary: (I) interruptions in flow of materials, (2) storage.
