| Inhalt | "Dokumentarfilm über die ehemalige DDR-Garnisonsstadt Eggesin, die nach der Wende als Bundeswehrstandort nicht mehr gebraucht wurde und nun aufgrund mangelnder Alternativen mit massiven Abwanderungen zu kämpfen hat." (filmdienst.de) "Hometown now means location and that in turn is referred to as location factors. A cameraman is sent to the province town Eggesin to report on the phenomenon of the shrinking cities. However, expecting t ofind a dreary kind of familiarity he discovers that the hole jhe is to report on, has surprise. The towns residents, who have all but lost their sense of origin, do have the community and the process the cameraman is to report on, will not be taken in a passive manner. The ugly little town begins to grow on him. However quite soon he is forced to admit something to himself: "The free market throws ist empty cans out of the window. I see it persistently ignoring our inner strenghts. It will leave deep scars - and create an own culture."
